Angela Posted : 12/20/2011 Comments : Hank and Audrey Pearl stayed in your boarding facility this past weekend and we brought them home yesterday afternoon. We are very very pleased with outcome. Both seemed happy and did not show any signs of distress when they arrived home. In fact, they seemed to have bonded more than they do at home. Clearly, they were comfortable and liked thier caretakers. My husband and I view staying at your facility as the new best alternative for our "children" Posted By :

We struggle with Cystitis with our cat and he has helped us manage this to the best of his ability since it's so unpredictable. We feel very confident leaving Sweet Dee there when we are on vacation and know she is very well taken care of. We are extremely happy we found this place and completely recommend him to anyone who has a pet. Posted By :

Posted : 7/29/2011 Comments : I'm so happy to have HH4A in my neighborhood - I thought one of my Pixie Bob cats, Newman'd, swallowed a small magnet about the size of a penny or dime, so I called and Kathleen provided guidance that it should probably "pass", but to keep an eye on him the next day or so and if he became lethargic, stopped eating, etc., to bring him in. I was so pleased with her response - she didn't say to bring him in immediately, let's do x-rays, etc. etc. etc. and charge a small fortune that we're willing to pay when our pets could be in harm's way - that was invaluable! I trusted them before, but now...they'll be my our vet forever and ever. Fortunately, I found the magnet and Newman's safe and sound - and he says "puuuurrrr" - thank you! -=^..^=- >^..^< -=^..^=- Posted By :

For starters my personal physician's office is next door to Dr. Duncan's location, so when Dr. Duncan opened his location it was already convenient for me to get to, so now I can get a health check up while my pets get theirs next door. I had a few veterinarians I used from my old neighborhood but it took a lot longer to get there and when my 10 year old kitty got a paw infection I found the trip to get her treated took time away from getting her worked on in a timely manner. I had during my kitty's illness used two other animal doctors neither were able to get the problem under control till I went to Dr. Duncan who took the time to care for her with the help of his staff get the problem under control and as of this date she is home running around a Happy Kitty, I cannot say enough about the location, staff, and Dr. Duncan's expertise in treating my pet, he fully understood I wanted my pets to have a quality of life to be as important as the quantity of life that my pets could enjoy. When asked, I answer Heights Hospital for Animals and Dr. Duncan is the place to go. Posted By :

Emily Pratt Posted : 1/29/2011 Comments : We just moved to the heights and were so incredibly fortunate to have found Dr Duncan to care for our medically complicated kitty. He saw us more than once on a moments notice and recommendations for her end of life care were reasonable, compassionate, and competent. Thanks to him helping us through her passing. He is definitely our forever vet and I recommend him to all. His staff is wonderful also. Posted By :
Kanner Posted : 9/8/2010 Comments : Dr. Duncan, since he opened his Heights location several years ago, has consistently delighted us with his good cheer, his flexibility and confidence, and his willingness to listen and experiment. All 4 of our dogs love Duncan and his staff, and more to the point, each has confidence in his touch. Everything from routine exams to difficult procedures are done efficiently, correctly, and effectively. He and his team are a valuable addition to the animal community of the Heights. Posted By :

Even though Dr. Duncan had never seen the dog before and did not know the owner of the dog, he patiently worked with me until the owner could be contacted and has restored this dog's health. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Duncan for his help in this unusual situation. Lynn Virshup Loving-Care Pet Sitting Posted By :
CKM Posted : 6/6/2010 Comments : When we moved to the Heights from Chicago in October, I was worried about finding a vet to care for my 19 year old cat, Goldie. Goldie and I have been together since she was 6 weeks old (longer than I have known my husband)! Getting compassionate and competent care for her was very important to me. It has been a positve experience finding Dr. Duncan in the neighborhood. He was wonderful with Goldie and we are comfortable with her care. Posted By :

Anna Posted : 3/5/2010 Comments : After a very unpleasant experience with our previous vet back in August 2008, I decided it was time to find a new vet. I'm so glad we found Dr. Duncan. My dog absolutely loves him as well as the staff. Why he would be so thrilled to see someone who pokes and prods at him, I'm not exactly sure, but that's fine by me! I recommend Heights Hospital for Animals to everyone I know and I bet if my dog spoke English, he would too. Posted By :
Thea Fellencer Posted : 3/3/2010 Comments : I have used the same vetrinarian who was located in Spring, TX (even when I went off to college in Austin; I would bring my dogs home to see my vet). In any event, after moving to the Heights, I decided that it was necessary to have a vet close by that I could trust, just in case...I tried several vertrinarians and finally came across Dr. Duncan. I was extremely impressed with the facility, his staff, his demeanor and his knowledge. Everyone in the office is extremely welcoming and have a genuine love for animals. Even though I had been going to my vetrinarian in Spring for over 19 years, I now use Dr. Duncan. I really love Heights Hospital for Animals! Great job! Posted By :

But never have I experienced more compassion than when it was time to say good bye to one of my babies. Dr. D and company will be there for you and yours in goods times, and, more importantly, during the sad times. Thank you for treating me and my four-legged companions with dignity and compassion. The Poirriers Posted : 10/7/2009 Comments : After taking our lab to the same vet for over 10 years, we switched to HHA after boarding our dogs with them during Ike. We met Dr. Duncan, Kathleen, and the great staff and felt so comfortable with them, that we switched. After many minor ailments for both of our dogs, unfortunately our beloved 12+ year old Lab was diagnosed with prostatic cancer. Dr. Duncan was absolutely great through the early diagnosis, to monitoring the ongoing ultrasound/biopsy, making special effort to talk with the oncologist to determine the best course of action. And when the time came, they cleared the calendar to make it easier on us when we had to put him down. While it was one of the worst days, Dr. Duncan made it as peaceful as possible for us and our boy. Thanks Dr. Duncan and the entire staff for always taking such good care of our boy. Posted By :

His ability to convey information with a down to earth approach was comforting throughout a difficult time. Simply put he kept a crappy situation bearable. Posted : 7/28/2008 Comments : It was Friday morning April 4 and I had been up all night with Tripper. She was a sick doggie, throwing up and very lethargic. I called the vet I had used for over 30 years but the practice had been bought by a new vet but she did not have time for Tipper. I could not go into the weekend with Tipper being so sick. I remembered seeing a new veterinary clinic but could not remember the name. I drove over, got the number off the building and called from the car. I explained the problem and all they asked was, "when can you have Tipper here?" I went home got Tipper and we were back within the hour. Dr. Duncan was so gentle with Tipper. He gave her a couple of shots for the fever and nausea and pills for a week. Dr. Duncan was so caring, and told me to call him first thing Saturday morning if she was not better. Thankfully she was. Dr. Duncan and his staff were wonderful. I tell everyone about them. Posted By :

Joanne Posted : 5/26/2008 Comments : My dog was 'down in the back end'; not walking well or at all. My regular Vet told me that "he just had strained something and would be okay", he wasn't getting any better and actually got to the point where he wasn't able to get up at all. Our doctor kept telling us to give it more time. From the advise of a family member, we traveled to Houston (3 hours from our home) to see Dr. Clint Duncan. After a thorough exam and several days stay to observe 'Dirty Dawg', Dr. Duncan put him on a thyroid medicine. That was over 3 years ago and he has been in good health since!
